The weave /// NY

The Weave is a dynamic mixed-use development that stands as a defining achievement in contemporary architectural design. As Project Architect at Cycle Architecture and Planning, I led the design of this ambitious project, which seamlessly integrates commercial, ambulatory, and healthcare programs into a single cohesive built environment.

The building’s signature zigzagging form is not merely an aesthetic statement it is a deliberate architectural response that organizes distinct programmatic functions while creating an engaging, fluid experience for occupants and visitors alike. The interwoven massing promotes natural wayfinding, maximizes views, and cultivates a vibrant street presence that energizes the surrounding urban context.

Among the project’s many innovations, the automated parking garage stands out as a landmark achievement. Spanning three levels and required by zoning, the system eliminates traditional ramp driven circulation, significantly reducing the building’s overall footprint while delivering a seamless, technology forward arrival experience. This solution exemplified the project’s broader commitment to efficiency, innovation, and thoughtful design.

The integration of ambulatory and healthcare facilities alongside commercial uses presented unique planning and technical challenges, requiring careful attention to accessibility, operational workflow, and occupant well-being. The result is a building that functions as a true community asset one that serves diverse user groups while maintaining design excellence throughout.
